RI 2025

The 213th Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours is now over as is (very nearly) my tenure as RI President. The Exhibition has been a great success with the highest attendance figures of all the FBA societies so far this year, so I want to say many thanks to the RI Council and Members and all the staff at the Mall Galleries who have made this possible and allowed me to go out on such a high note. My very best wishes. Chris.

RI President's chain and badge of office

Sad to be saying goodbye for the last time to Sir Alfred Gilbert’s beautiful RI badge of office which was presented to the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in 1893 and has been worn by all the RI Presidents since then. It’s been a great honour to serve as RI President for the last three years, and I wish to say a big thank you to all the RI Members and especially the RI Council Members who have supported me during my tenure. Very best wishes.

And to all the friends of the RI who have made the first couple of days of the Exhibition such a success, and so busy. Exhibition runs until 5 April.
