Attended the funeral today of RI Past President Charles Bone who passed away peacefully on the 4th of March. Despite the obvious sadness of the occasion it was heartening to see just how many people attended the service in the beautiful village church in Puttenham…it was brimming full, with many attendees standing in order to pay their respects to an extremely popular man of almost 100 years of age. Charles was always very supportive to me in my own term as RI President and he will be much missed.
